are these trips for me?

You should consider joining Women Who Run the World for a weekend or week-long experience if you’re looking for a new adventure, enjoy spending time with other amazing women and like to get out on the trails.  You do not need to be an experienced trail runner, nor is there any minimum (nor maximum) speed required.  We can accommodate all types of trail runners, and if you’ve recently transitioned to trail running from the road, or want to use one of our trips to check it out, we’re happy to show you the way.  However, you should be ableto run at least 5 miles on rolling terrain without long stops before you arrive for one of our trips.

If you’re looking for coaching or training, then you may want to look elsewhere. Women Who Run the World trips focus on having fun with trail running, and incorporating it with a variety of other activities to make the most of the places we visit.  Expect trips that aim to satisfy your multidimensional nature – you probably love to trail run, but you might also love to eat great food, drink wine, try your hand at other activities in the outdoors, visit local shops, sit by a fire and swap stories, learn new skills and sometimes just lay in a hammock and take an afternoon nap. Our favorite vacations are active yet relaxed, and we design our Women Who Run the World trips with this in mind.

For international trips Do i need a visa? What about travel insurance?

We will let you know in the pre-trip emails whether you need a travel visa and provide suggestions about travel insurance.  No visas are needed for most nationalities for the Spain trip, but you should check that your passport is valid 6 months past the final date of the trip. For international trips we do require participants to purchase personal travel insurance.  We will provide information on recommended insurance companies in the pre-trip emails.  In our experience this type of insurance is well worth it in case something unexpected happens during your travels, and is relatively inexpensive to purchase.
